Wireless Printing using SmartAlec 

SmartALEC is the library's new mobile printing service. It allows you to send documents to print at the library from anywhere you have Internet access. Your documents do not print until you come to the library to pay and release them. Click on the "Print Now" button above to get started. 

HOW TO REGISTER

  1. From the Welcome Screen, click [First Time User].
  2. On the next screen, enter your library card and pin here if you have one, otherwise the system will generate one for you to use.
  3. Next, enter a valid Email or Phone Number.
  4. If an email or phone number is not entered, a message will display: You must enter a valid email address or phone number.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. A confirmation message will display after the account is created.
  7. You have now successfully created a SmartAlec account. Please log in.
  8. If you used the website generated ID and PIN, it will be sent to you either via email or text message.
  9. Make note of the ID. You must login to the SAM Print Station with this ID and PIN.
  10. If incorrect information is entered at login, a message will display saying INVALID LOGIN ATTEMPT.  
  11. Please note: the website generated ID and PIN only grants the user access to the SAM Print Station only.
Upload / Print Documents FROM A LAPTOP
  1. Log into your SmartAlec Account. 
  2. From the Account Info screen
  3. Click [Browse]
  4. Navigate to and double click the desired document on your computer.
  5. Return to the Account Info screen.
  6. Click [Upload].
  7. File uploaded successfully confirmation message will appear.
  8. The file will be added to the list.
  9. Click [Preview] to preview the document.
  10. Click [Delete] to remove document from the list.
  11. Go to a Print Release Station to release and print the document.

ANDROID USERS

  1. Download the SmartAlec Print app from the Google Play store and login to your account.
  2. Open the document you need to print and tap Menu, then choose Print and choose SmartAlecPrinter.
  3. When your print job uploads, you will see it in the SmartAlec Print app.
  4. Go to the SAM print release station at the library to print your documents. 

IPAD / IPHONE USERS

  1. Download the SmartAlec Print app from the App store and login to your account.
  2. Open the document you need to print and locate the Share icon, then choose Print.
  3. While previewing the item to print, zoom out with your fingers to convert it to a PDF document. Then select the Share icon again and select the SmartAlec Print app.If SmartAlec does not appear as an option, click the More button and turn on SmartAlec.
  4. When your print job uploads, you will see it in the SmartAlec Print App.
  5. Go to the SAM print release station at the library to print your documents.
