Brown Bag Lunch Series: Preventing Identity Theft with Joe Stephens
Identity theft has been in the news lately, it seems that no one is immune to data breaches this year. From Target to Evernote, even the Federal Reserve have dealt with this alarming trend.
The Federal Trade Commission has noted that Identity Theft an event when "someone steals your personal information and uses it without your permission". It's considered a serious crime, and takes a great amount of time and money to resolve.
The AARP offers some advice to those who are interested in protecting their identity. In the online article titled Protect Your Personal Data, Jean Chatzky offers some simple tips you can do now to protect yourself from data breaches.
