Georgia Bottoms by Mark Childress

Miss Georgia Bottoms, of Six Points, Alabama, has never married. She treasures her single life and independence far too much for that. But that doesn't mean she doesn't have an active social life...in fact, some would say her social life was far too active. If they knew about it. Nobody in town knows she has six gentleman callers (one for each night of the week except Monday, which is Georgia's night off). And all of her gentleman callers believe they are her only lover. And that's not Georgia's only secret...

But the day comes when Georgia's carefully guarded secrets threaten to come spilling out, and she must decide which is more important - her reputation, or her family.

This is a quick read with lots of humor and likable characters, but not much substance. I kept waiting for some deeper meaning, but it's more of a beach read. (And I think the author, an Alabama native, must have been heavily influenced by the song Harper Valley PTA!)
