The club is being led by Dr. David Gauntt, a mentor of the Homewood Middle School robotics team and a faculty member at UAB (Department of Radiology, Division of Medical Physics and Engineering), along with members of the Homewood High School robotics team. We will be doing the following in the club; you may work on any or all of the following:.
BRINGING YOUR OWN LAPTOP OR ROBOT KIT
You may bring in your own robot kits to work with. If you do so, you are responsible for keeping your parts separated from the club kits. If you are interested in bringing your own Legos Mindstorms NXT kit and would like to program your NXT brick using Java, we will send you instructions on how to set up the brick. If you are interested in programming using C or Java, we will send you instructions to download and install the programming software. This software will work both on Windows and Mac OS X computers.
